Running the penalty zone

1Sign in

1. Open racewalk.deltasportstechnology.com.
2. Official tab → code and PIN → Log in.
3. Keep the screen awake. A tablet is easiest to read.
4. Bibs work only once the race has started.

2Athlete arrives Guide

1. Type the bib; check the name.
2. Tap ENTERS PENALTY ZONE.
3. Press CONFIRM as they cross into the zone. Their time starts now.

3Time is up

1. Wait for MAY LEAVE beside their bib.
2. Release the athlete.
3. Bib → LEAVES PENALTY ZONE → CONFIRM as they go.

The screen won’t stop an early exit. You enforce the time.

4The list on screen

• 3 RC must enter zone: due in.
• IN ZONE with a countdown.
• MAY LEAVE: time served.

Zone time: ≤5 km 30 s · ≤10 km 1 min · ≤20 km 2 min · ≤30 km 3 min · ≤40 km 4 min · over 40 km 5 min

5Say to the athlete

• Only that they must serve their time in the zone.
• Never why, or which judges carded them.
• An athlete who doesn’t come in: tell the chief judge at once.

6If something’s wrong

• Wrong bib or time: give the recorder the bib and the real times.
• "Already in the zone" / "Not in the zone": a stamp was missed; tell the recorder.
• No signal: carry on; entries send themselves and keep their time.
• Red NOT SENT panel: an entry was refused; read the reason, then Dismiss.
• "This race has no penalty zone": it’s a DQ-only race.
